To help us understand what it truly means to be tolerant we can look to one
of history’s great examples; the cultural meeting point of antiquity between
East and West - the city of Alexandria. How was it that so many viewpoints
were able to live in harmony and flourish? What was the mentality of the
people that allowed this, even in times of crisis? Confronted with our modern
adversities what can we learn from Alexandria to help us come together and
build a better world?
